While the majority of members are fantastic, there can be some disruptive users within the communities. We recognize the need for additional measures. Since your safety is important, we’ve released the ‘Report User’ feature and face detection for users registering their account with Google.

Keeping your transactions safe with the “Report User” Feature

The internet can be a scary place, but it doesn’t have to be. That’s why we’ve introduced the “Report User” feature, allowing you to quickly flag any suspicious activity or behavior. Whether you come across a user violating community guidelines or engaging in fraudulent behavior, you can take action to help us maintain a secure environment for all members. The reporting system can be found on member profiles and primarily focuses on reporting problematic users and spam.

Who should be reported?

Instances of spam and offensive behavior by members are the primary reasons for reporting a user. This includes notifying users who violate the terms of service, engage in harassment, or partake in any illegal activities. All other circumstances should continue to be reported to the community admin or the Help Desk.

How do I report a profile?

Reporting a profile is straightforward. Simply navigate to the user’s profile and click the three dots located in the top right-hand corner. Then, select ‘Report’ and state your reason for reporting.

What happens after I submit a report?

Once you submit your report, it enters a queue system for our moderators to review. All reports are taken seriously and should not be abused. To avoid abuse, only individuals who genuinely violate the terms of service or spam should be reported.

Simplifying: Google and Face Detection

We understand that convenience is paramount when getting your profile ready. With this in mind, we’re excited to introduce the ability to upload your profile photo directly from Google Photos with face detection. This new feature will make it easier for new members to get approved faster and start buying and selling more quickly.
